We love St. Patrick’s Day and this year we are celebrating with the Irish whiskey brand, Roe & Co.
Roe & Co is a new, contemporary blend of Irish whiskey named after celebrated whiskey-maker George Roe. The Roe family began distilling whiskey int he 1700s, but it was George Roe in the mid-1800s who expanded the family business into the largest distillery of its time in Ireland. His distillery on Thomas Street, a neighbor to the well-known Guinness brewery, houses the largest smock windmill in Europe known today as St. Patrick’s Tower – which remains a historic landmark.
This is creamy, delightfully fragrant and remarkably rounded whiskey has notes of soft spice and mellow spun sugar along with warm hints of woody vanilla. Roe & Co is a smooth, luxurious blend of malt and grain whiskeys. The hints of spiced pear and vanilla are reminiscent of the old pear tree that still stands on the land of the former Roe family distillery. The quality of a perfect balanced blend is immediately apparent on the palate through its velvety texture and sweet flavors. The finish is lingering and gentle, ending with a light creaminess.

Roe & Co Irish Coffee:
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Roe & Co
2 tsp light brown sugar
1 cup hot or cold brewed coffee
Whipped cream
METHOD:
HOT: Add Hot coffee and sugar, stir and mix well. Once combined, add the Roe & Co Irish Whiskey. Top with Whipped Cream.
COLD: Mix sugar and cold brew coffee well. Stir in Roe & Co. Irish Whiskey and pour over ice filled Irish coffee mug. Top with Whipped Cream.
Roe Fashioned:
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Roe & Co
0.5 oz Sugar Syrup
3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
Garnish with the zest of an orange.
EQUIPMENT:
Rocks glass
Rock Ice
Bar Spoon
Mixing Glass
Strainer
METHOD:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir for 20 seconds. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
FEELING FANCY? Replace your sugar syrup with salted Agave Syrup (salt to taste), use your favorite aromatic bitters (we recommend Barrel Aged bitters) and serve with a slice of charred orange.
Roe & Co Sour:
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Roe & Co
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz sugar syrup
1 egg white (to make it vegan use instead 30ml Aquafaba)
METHOD: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake hard and double strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

1 heaped tsp of good Jam or Marmalade
The pulp of 1 Passionfruit
3 dashes of your favorite cocktail bitters
