The venerable luxury brand, Louis Vuitton has launched a collection of travel-inspired furniture and accessories. Each of the 16 “Objets Nomades” pieces were created by 11 famous designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Christian Liaigre, Maarten Baas, Jay Osgerby, and Edward Barber.
The exclusive collection introduced during Design Miami includes a folding travel desk with a leather top, a gold-plated hammock, a solar-powered lamp, and a beach chair that folds into a briefcase.
Louis Vuitton has historically been known for bespoke travel furniture, however, this new line is both production and special-order designs with an emphasis on easy-to-carry items, rather than large bulky pieces that require several handlers to maneuver through a hotel lobby.
