Hotel Odyssee Center is a four-star modern hotel located in the heart of Casablanca, Morocco. The hotel boasts free Wi-Fi, lobby bar (with an active liquor license, which is somewhat rare in Casablanca), a business center, restaurant, and concept store.
The overall feel of the hotel is artsy. With large installations in the lobby and paintings throughout, you get sense that they really put in the effort to select art that’s not only abstract and avant garde, but super trendy. Many of the pieces in the lobby were reminiscent of Basquiat, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
Check-In: The check-in was fairly easy and uncomplicated. When I arrived, I was greeted by a bell hop who took my bags. As I entered, I was greeted quite nicely by the front desk receptionist. After approaching the counter, the receptionist asked to see my passport. He then let me know that I can sit in the lobby bar while he puts everything into the system. He quickly returned to me to sign an incidental form and gave me my keys. Something that I thought was refreshing was that he did not ask to see my credit card. He informed me that the elevators were down and currently being fixed. The receptionist then personally escorted me to my room where my bags were waiting.
Luxe Scale: 9.5/10
Hotel Room (Two Double Beds): The room was beautiful and enough space for two people to live comfortably for a few days. There was trendy art on the wall, as well as a mural behind the two double beds. There was more than enough room for the sitting area that comprised of two chairs, a small side table and a large window that faced the city. In addition, there was also a desk with another chair. The closet was also big enough for two people.
The bathroom was modern with a glass shower tub, large toilet and a handheld bidet sprayer.
Luxe Scale: 8/10
Customer Service: They were on it! The service was exceptional. Any request or question that I had was answered instantly. Every time I entered the hotel, I was greeted with a warm hello and a smile. There was an instance where I had a bottle of wine and no opener and it was after the 8pm curfew. I went down to the lobby to ask for an opener, but since the bar had closed, they could not access the space. This is where making sure the customer is happy comes into play. They “MacGyvered” a way to open the bottle without an opener! They didn’t have to do it, but they did and I made sure to tip them nicely.

If you are in Casablanca for a few days, I highly recommend this location if you want a trendy hotel, but not willing to break the bank for each night’s stay. Some things to note, it’s 300 DHS (~$35 USD) for a one-way from the airport. Getting around the city is really inexpensive in a taxi. Most trips were under 30 DHS (~$4 USD).
Starting rate is $49 USD
