In case you are a fan of Downton Abbey, an anglophile, or like the idea of having private access to Highclere Castle, now there’s an opportunity to get that VIP treatment.
On September 30th and October 7th, Ellenborough Park is offering their guests an exclusive entre to this TV set, but more importantly a stately British aristocratic castle.
At the Highclere Castle tour, guests can explore the various rooms where the PBS series is filmed. The castle is the perfect setting to take in what life might have been like in the early 1900’s. Also on display for visitors will be the Egyptian Exhibition which contains antiquities discovered by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon while on an excavation in Egypt.
Ellenborough Park is a 15th century manor house located in the heart of the Cotswolds, and near the famous Cheltenham race course. The hotel offers guests a world-class spa and gourmet restaurant, and is comprised of 60 large bedrooms and suites designed by Nina Campbell.
Ellenborough Park was named the UK’s Leading Country House Hotel and England’s Leading Spa Hotel at the World Travel Awards two years in a row.
Rates start at £1350.00 (approximately US $2130) per person. The Highclere Castle package includes one overnight stay in a Classic or Luxury room, tours of Highclere Castle and Ditchley Park, meals and use of the spa and leisure facilities at Ellenborough Park.
