The Scene: Southampton Hospital Foundation Summer Kick Off Party Hosted Jean and Martin Shafiroff

Jean and Martin Shafiroff hosted nearly 150 guests at their splendid Southampton home to kick off the fundraising season for the Southampton Hospital Foundation (SHF). The event was attended by philanthropists, socialites, and medical leaders, including SHF trustee Jean Shafiroff and her husband Martin. Guests enjoyed fine canapés, cocktails, and music by Alex Donner.

Notable attendees included Julia McCormack, President of SHF and Chief Development Officer at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital (SBSH), and Emily Mastaler, SBSH Chief Administrative Officer.

They were joined by key board members such as Jim Forbes and John Wambold, and directors like J. Oscar Molina and Dr. Florence Rolston. The gathering also previewed honorees for the upcoming 66th annual Summer Party, including Father Alexander Karloutsos and Dr. Daniel Van Arsdale.

The event underscored SHF’s commitment to advancing healthcare in East End, Long Island, supporting SBSH’s status as a vital medical facility with top-tier services including the only Level III Trauma Center and catheterization lab in Suffolk’s South Fork. Proceeds from the season support SBSH’s mission to deliver first-class, compassionate care, bolstered by its recent top safety rating from the Leapfrog Group.
