Although there are shows like VH1 Behind the Music and E’s True Hollywood Story that provide us with a background view on our favorite artist, musicians and celebrities there’s still a void. Getting a back view once the mega stardom is there is one perspective but what about the journey to get there? Sounds interesting right? Well, want no more because there’s a new online show called MAKE NO!SE thats here to quench our thirst.
MAKE NO!SE is a lifestyle multimedia series that highlights local creatives, such as artists, musicians, and DJ’s that are making noise within their respective crafts/industries. With highly stylized photography, video and a combination of candid shots and video, MAKE NO!SE will tell two stories:
1.) How this person is building their brand
2.) The steps they take to create a branded project
On this episode of MAKE NO!SE (product support by FILA, photography by Chris Carr, and video by Opiyo Okeyo) the show highlights a violinist/barber by the name of Dannon Cook.
Take A Look:
Often I’m approached by those who aspire to work in the entertainment industry with hopes that I could connect them with people to give them that big break. Unfortunately, with the rise of internet fame and influx of white noise, waiting on the magical moment to get discovered is slimmer than ever. Just like in any other profession, to make yourself more competitive, have a record of successful work. The people I meet in the industry tell me all the time that if you work hard at starting your own you will get the respect and job security you want. It’s no secret that longevity is hard to obtain in entertainment. Also, the days of people investing into every face that says they have a dream is over. It’s time to put in your individual grind, work hard at it and people will take notice. MAKE NO!SE, to me, is an example of that.
