As we look into some of the big matchups next week including Seattle Seahawks vs. New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers, expect more restaurants and bars to see a number of football fans rush to their local sports bar to support their teams and consume a ton of food and drinks.
NightUp is a new lifestyle app that helps users find which bars and clubs has the best deals, including drink specials.
13th Step (149 2nd Ave)
13th Step is home away from home for all you “frat” guys. Aside from the amount of beer selections on tap, the beer pong tables seem to attract all the bros in the area. As for the college graduates, this bar is very fun and will make you reminiscent of your college days. They show a good section of games, and offer sweet drink specials, especially during Football Sunday including $10 pitchers of Budweiser and Coors Light.
Off the Wagon (109 Macdougal Street)
When was the last time you went to a quite sports match? Never, that’s why this spot is so good; it brings the stadium energy right to you. The drinks are cheap and poured very generously, so get ready to select your drink purchases, without breaking the bank.
Blondies (212 W. 79th Street):
This Upper West Side gem is a fan favorite. Their large open room is littered with TVs, tables and comfy booths for up to six of your guests. Watching your favorite team on TV will not be an issue at this spot. Although the drinks are regularly priced; the food is out of this world. We recommend their spicy buffalo wings, or really, everything on the entire menu is pretty stellar. If you ever feel like heading over to Blondie’s on Monday after work, check out their sweet all you can eat wings special.
The Black Horse Pub (568 5th Ave, Brooklyn)
A nice neighborhood pub located in Park Slope, this is a haven for soccer fans. Whether you’re a Manchester United or Real Madrid fan, this is defiantly worth checking out, especially if you want to watch some good soccer fans. Black Horse has a diverse selection of beers that are all reasonably priced (an average of $6 per brew). The crowd and staff are very friendly and laidback, a refreshing trait indeed.
Mulholland’s (312 Grand St. Brooklyn)
Mulholland’s is a must for any sports fans in Williamsburg. These wings have won various awards and for a good reason, they’re just delicious. Don’t believe us, head over and try them for yourself.
Mulholland’s also has 22 different beers on tap, and HD plasma TVs all over the entire restaurant showing any and every game you want to see. The staff quickly makes guests feel at home.
