Cocktails, Retro Games and Food at HENRI On Fifth
This month, hospitality entrepreneur, Binh Douglas opened the doors to his latest venture – HENRI On Fifth in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Offering an eclectic fusion of small bites, shared fare and locally sourced staples, HENRI On Fifth is creating a casual yet inventive culinary destination and bar for the neighborhood.
Located in the space formally occupied by Aperitivo, HENRI On Fifth is named after Binh’s newborn son Henri, who inspired the restaurant’s innovative fare. The menu was envisioned as an amalgam of Henri’s heritage; influenced by his Vietnamese, Native American, African American, German and French background. Seasonally-changing and comprised entirely of small plates intended for sharing, the menu will range from Banh ‘Mini’ Tacos to Sriracha Deviled Eggs, with a creative Grilled Cheese Soldier selection, plus salads, soups and sliders.
HENRI On Fifth is the perfect place in Park Slope to grab a cocktail, such as the Bourbon Street Bon Bon and play a round of Cards Againts Humanity. With spring and summer approaching, the seasonal outdoor seating and an extensive collection of retro board games, HENRI On Fifth is going to be perfect for catching up with friends, al fresco. Who doesn’t love summers in Brooklyn?
“I am excited to bring an enjoyable retreat to the neighborhood that offers a savory menu with an excellent assortment of east coast craft beers, wines and libations,” says Binh Douglas, who intends to integrate himself and his restaurant within the Park Slope community through events, charities and local activities.
Make sure to check out the wallpaper in the restroom. It’s all things Brooklyn.
Sounds like my kind of place. I definitely want to visit when I travel to New York.
