Meet The Brooklyn Barge Bar in Greenpoint
Move over Frying Pan, there is a new barge restaurant/bar in New York City. The Brooklyn Barge Bar, located in Greenpoint, is now open for business and people are clamoring to get a taste of it. Summer may be over, but the Autumn is still perfect for outdoor drinks on the water.
“The barge itself is moored just off Transmitter Park, and houses a long bar and a row of tables with views of the Manhattan skyline. On the land next to the barge is a container crate kitchen, plenty more seating, and some restrooms (also accessible to those in the park).” – Greenpointers.com
The bar is still in its soft opening stage, but that isn’t stopping people from getting bottled and draft beer for $7 and wine and a small selection of mixed drinks for $9. The food menu is small, but is expected to grow with time.
Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, Brooklyn Barge Bar plans to have community events and activities.
Brooklyn Barge Bar is at 3 Milton Street. Open daily until October 31 – 11:30 am to 1 am (weather permitting)
