The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City will play host in May to a new exhibit that examines the anti-establishment culture of punk rock and its effects on today’s fashion designers. This multi-sensory experience will combine clothing that is animated with music from the punk era with videos and ultra new “soundscaping” audio techniques. Titled “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” the exhibition begins with Member Previews May 7th and 8th and then opens to the public May 9 to August 14th.
The Met is located at 1000 Fifth Avenue and is open from Tuesday–Thursday: 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m, Friday and Saturday: 9:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., and Sunday: 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
