UGG Australia, known for their versatility in footwear, has created a new boat shoe/sneaker mix that we like!
The Bayne’s vibrant tomato red colorway was inspired by pop art, and the shoes themselves have a street aesthetic with a nautical vibe, hence the sneaker meets the boat shoe combination. Crafted in full grain leather, with an UGG exclusive camo lining at the tongue and a custom-created Vibram outsole, the Bayne retails for $165.00 at www.UGGAustralia.com and UGG Australia stores across the US.
UGG for Men created a visual short film to accompany the launch that captures the essence and attitude of the shoe. By using the visceral shading of the shoes as inspiration, the team wanted to project red colored images on to the shoe so that the shoe seems to take a life of its own. Shot in studio under low light conditions, the camera was positioned at the same level of the shoe and recorded the projections that played across the shoe like a blank canvas. The projected images tie back to the daring personality of the Bayne and includes everything from flying paint, hot molten lava, exploding fireworks, a concert scene and Las Vegas lights.
