Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2013 Presentation was inspired by the modern designs of Spanish architect and sculptor, Santiago Calatrava. Campos says, “Calatrava is known for taking a minimalist approach, creating impressive spaces and structures while keeping those spaces open and clean. These vast open spaces yield the perfect ‘clean canvas’ to showcase the energetic bursts of color that this collection offers.”
Campos wanted to stress energy in his Spring/Summer 2013 collection. He accomplished this by using dots and stars on 4 colors: crisp watery blue, lush earthy green, warm sun-kissed golden yellow and white. The monochromatic theme is across the board for Spring/Summer 2013, however, Campos was able to put a spin on it with his inputs of little details such as the dots, stripes and stars.
