Wolf of Wall Street — Congratulations!  You’ve scored a meeting with one of the partners at a large hedge fund or perhaps a networking meeting with management at a large bank.  This is definitely the time to be suited up.  Wear your dark colored suit, white shirt, and an under-stated tie.  Polish up those wing-tips or other conservative footwear.  You want the emphasis to be on your education, work history, not your sense of style.

Inside Llewyn Davis — One of your friends helped you set up an interview at one of the newest start ups in the city.  Or, you’ve been writing a blog at home for the past several years and now you’ve found a company that needs your writing talent to keep them in rich content.  You’re the writer type, be comfortable wearing clothes that are comfortable, with a dash of nerd.  A jacket, clean pressed shirt with a sweater or vest shows some style without making you look like a faux hipster.  A nice pair of jeans or cords will finish the look.  Your shoes are important to, make certain they compliment the look, not detract. Blue Jasmine — Fashion is your game and you know what to wear and when to wear it, even if you happen to have fallen on hard times.  Just like Woody Allen’s Jasmine, you can style up a bad day with the right pairing of shoes, shirt, and pants.  Once you’ve scored that interview to work at GQ, Esquire, or Boss, be certain to find the right mix of conservative but with that personal dash of fashionable flair.  Your personal sense of style will be as important as your skills, education, and internships at major fashion houses.  Don’t over do it, but be yourself and you will win the day.
