Its not often that a former JP Morgan banker and a fashion designer team up and create something unique and luxurious. However, in the case of Esteban Saba (the banker) who co-founded håndvaerk with his wife Petra Brichnacova (the designer), the results speak for themselves.
The couple launched håndværk in late Fall as a luxury brand that combines minimalist design with premium materials. The couples efforts have resulted in a clothing line of men’s and women’s luxury essentials. Each item is made from hand selected high quality natural raw materials.
The men’s essentials are perfect accessories for layering, whether in the bitter cold winter months or for a truly urban hip style. The men’s grey melange sweatshirt is fabricated from ultra soft pima cotton with a classic slim shape is great to wear under or over other shirting. The three-button Henley is our favorite with 3 color choices and the exceptional quality of soft cotton. Our vote is to style this under a bright flannel shirt and complete the look with a quilted vest for those casual evenings out for dinner with friends.
Saba and Brichnacova continue to create additional items with their recently launched underwear line. Our editors agree that the couple’s decision to launch their label was well thought out and a fills a void in the essentials marketplace. In addition, their decision to update the definition of “luxury” via “thoughtful design, premium materials, and how each product is made” will resonate with buyers of clothing essentials.
