This is red bottom season. Everywhere I go I see women and more recently men with “Louboutins” or “Red Bottoms” on. When the brand launched in France in 1991 there were NO red bottoms until 1992. On March 27, 2007, Louboutin filed an application for U.S. trademark protection of this red sole design. Alas, the Red Bottoms!
Ironically enough, I am a fan on straps on sneakers. It’s an interesting and unexpected touch.
