The famous US brand’s menswear designer Italo Zucchelli has created a number of looks for the rapper’s new tour.
Drake’s 2013 North American tour, which hits Toronto, Ontario Thursday evening at the Air Canada Centre will see the Canadian rapper sporting a mix of custom-made and runway pieces from the men’s Calvin Klein Collection lines.
The bomber jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, tanks and pants are organized into three distinctive aesthetics: blue sky, sporty and denim.
The first looks feature the photographic print from Zucchelli’s Spring 2014 collection which also matches the clouds and blue sky depicted on the front cover of Drake’s latest album ‘Nothing Was the Same.’ The second shows off the designer’s sure touch with technical fabrics, neon and reflective accent details, while the third set is composed of total-looks in denim, one of the Calvin Klein brand’s most famous legacies.
“I love Drake — he is very talented and I like his effortless attitude in terms of his style and music,” said Zucchelli. “It’s a perfect fit for me to work with him and I am very excited for him to wear my designs for his tour” he added.
Zucchelli has previously designed red carpet and stage looks for fellow rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z as well as R&B stars Justin Timberlake, Usher and Miguel (who is also opening for Drake on the current tour). Earlier this week Kanye West showed off a new specially made wardrobe for his “Yeezus” tour created by Parisian luxury brand Maison Martin Margiela.
