Recently, LuxuriousPROTOTYPE was invited to view the Bernardo Rojo for Joseph Abboud Spring/Summer 2013 collection and we were perfectly happy to do so. By mixing textures and a vivid palette with decidedly unstructured lines, the collection is the sartorial epitome of classic Hollywood heartthrob meets luxe modern gentleman with just a hint of that James Dean effortless cool. To keep up with the theme, the showroom was perfectly decked like a 50’s bachelor pad with modern- day man about town twist.
Key pieces included tempered sweaters in shades of grey, high-waisted linen trousers and bright, soft leather biker jackets. The collection itself was designed for the busy, 24-hour man so as to provide ease in creating several looks which are readily interchanged from work to casual and back again. Strong patterned Western-style shirts are easily suited up or down with either biker jack or two-button linen blazer, finished with linen trouser or cargo short.
The designer’s goal was to allow the modern-day metropolitan man to emanate bold and classic styles without compromising ease. We are confident that they have not only reached but exceeded their ambitions.
