On Wednesday October 19, 2011 I had the opportunity to visit the Allegri Showroom in New York City to check out some of their Spring/Summer 2012 pieces. The Allegri Men’s S/S 2012 Collection is filled with great jackets and coats made with fabrics such as Silky Vintage Cotton. The great thing about the brand is that they know how to use almost unconventional materials, such as feathers, and make it work in a Menswear line without looking, well, feminine (see above).
In 2012 Allegri begins its next 40 years as “The Architects of Fabrics” with research and experimentation in creating garments synonymous with functionality and comfort.
Allegri Milano – draws urban inspiration for contrmporary garments emphasizing competitiveness and dynamism for those on the move. New hybrid jackets with removable linings easily transition between outdoor and indoor. Short trenches get a boost with Silky Vintage, a soft-washed cotton with a sophisticated worn look. Tradition and innovation come together with Teflon fabric protector treatment that makes the fabric water-repellent, yet soft.
Allegri A-Tech – sporty collection featuring short outerwear pieces high in technology and performance. Extremely light goose down jackets in bright colors like yellow, blue and green create a unique category for the Spring season. These pieces are made from KITY, a semitransparent, hyper-light, rain-proof fabric which is a front runner for the Innovation Award at the 2011 Performance Days, a leading high tech and functional fabric tradeshow.
Allegri Black Label – luxury collection with a sophisticated blend of conceptual designs and high-end fabrics. Trench coat couture translates into ultimate style for formal and elegant occasions.
Be sure to check back in to see the full Men’s S/S 2012 Collection!
