The Red Pavilion, located at 1241 Flushing Ave in Bushwick, held a fantastic party to celebrate its first anniversary and kicked off AAPI Heritage Month in style. They drew media creators and press from all over NYC to enjoy a night of art, live music, dance, and unique cocktails.
The evening began with a cocktail hour, featuring drinks like The Red Dragon—a fiery mix of tequila, blood orange, beet, lemon, agave, and Sichuan chili powder, with poppy seeds on the rim. Non-alcoholic options included the Sunny Side, made with CBD Brooklyn Gold, ginger, and lemon. First-time visitors were captivated by the venue’s elegant, noir-inspired setting, lit with sultry red lighting and smoke.
With drinks in hand, the crowd enjoyed mesmerizing music by the AAPI Jazz Collective. The night featured a mix of music and performances celebrating Asian culture, like the Sailor Moon aerial duo’s performance of the anime theme song. The party also included Agent Wednesday’s “Kung Fu Hustle” and an aerial show that kept the energy high.
Ambient jazz, great service, and a speech by owner Shien Lee highlighted the event. The Red Pavilion aims to be more than a nightlife spot—it’s a cultural hub where art, cuisine, and community come together to create positive change. The event marked not only the venue’s first anniversary but also kicked off AAPI Heritage Month.
The Red Pavilion will continue celebrating with more events, like Taboo Jazz, Tokyo Boogie, Studio Ghibli + Anime Jazz, and more. Check out the full schedule at www.theredpavilion.com.
