David Rosengarten’s Intimate Dinner Party and Tasting
On Wednesday, July 16, 2014, gastro-pioneer David Rosengarten hosted an intimate dinner and tasting for his new Italian wine portfolio at a beautiful townhouse located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan.
David has a long history of working in the food and wine industry. He is a food writer, wine writer, TV chef, cookbook author, and now…importer!
To kick off the evening, guests were ushered to the deck to sample some of David’s favorite wines, paired with a charcuterie spread.
After the appetizers, guests went back into the house to prepare for dinner. The large kitchen of the home was the perfect backdrop for the perfect dining experience. Chef Joe whipped up an amazing selection from David’s recipe portfolio.

As you can see, there was a large amount of wine! The grilled Japanese wagyu steak was heavenly. It was the perfect amount of fat. The shiso-miso glaze also provided the perfect amount of salt. By far, this was best wagyu steak I’ve ever tasted.
In addition to his books, David also has an online store that features wine, food, and a Wagyu-of-the-Month Club. Starting at $500 for a 5 month shipment, you are guaranteed great quality steaks for a great value (recipes included).
