After a splendid kickoff event for Quadrille participants, a grand reception is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th, heralding the imminent 63rd Annual Quadrille Ball—a distinguished charity event in white tie tradition. The night itself is set for February 24, 2024, to unfold at the esteemed venue of 583 Park Avenue in New York City.
This exquisite gala promises an evening of elegance, featuring a cocktail reception, a sumptuous three-course dinner, lively dancing, and the much-anticipated Quadrille performance.
The annual ball serves as a fundraiser for scholarships dedicated to highly accomplished students enrolled in U.S. and German universities. Established decades ago, the Quadrille was conceived to fortify transatlantic ties through educational initiatives. Operated under the non-profit umbrella of the Germanistic Society of America, the Quadrille assists undergraduate, Master, and PhD scholars.
The 501(c)3 non-profit organization offers stipends facilitating academic pursuits and research across the Atlantic. Collaboration with esteemed institutions such as the Fulbright program, the Institute of International Education (IIE), and Columbia University ensures the selection of deserving scholarship recipients. Over 700 students have benefitted from the support provided by the Germanistic Society of America over the years.
Volunteers coordinate the Quadrille, ensuring that tax-deductible contributions from sponsors, advertisers, donors, and ball attendees directly bolster the stipend fund.
The success of the Quadrille Stipend Fund relies on the continuous and generous support from corporate sponsors, individual patrons, and private donors. Both financial and non-monetary contributions aid the Germanistic Society of America in bestowing scholarships upon exceptional students from the United States and Germany. Notable recent sponsors include The Mejean Family Foundation as the Full Scholarship Sponsor, Platinum Sponsors Max Kade Foundation, Inc., The Bye Family, and Dr. William Radin, along with Diamond Sponsors The Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Foundation and Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Shiva.
