The world’s first luxury un-aged whiskey brand, Manhattan Moonshine, and underground speakeasy cabaret Shanghai Mermaid hosted the“Let’s Misbehave!” bash Saturday, December 5th, 2015 in The Fillmore Room. At this event, guests celebrated the 82nd anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition in the United States, dressed from head to toe in 1920’s costume.
The venue was decked out in the all the trimmings that completely immersed in the glamour and debauchery of that bygone era of Gin Joints and Speakeasies and celebrated the night that our nation brought drinking back out of the shadows. During the event, there was live jazz and burlesque performances fueled by delicious Manhattan Moonshine cocktails that were served in tea cups. Performers included Jessy Carolina & The Hot Mess, Ragtime Piano Player Dalton Ridenhour, burlesque by Pandora and Medianoche, and additional dance performances by Amanda Mottur.
Make sure to attend the next Shanghai Mermaid event, you will be in for a treat. Also, if you are in New York City, you have to try Manhattan Moonshine. I was very shocked at how smooth the whiskey was being that it was un-aged. Manhattan Moon makes for a great stocking stuffer!
