On March 9, 2017, the Guggenheim’s celebrated 20 years of the Young Collectors Council (YCC), recognizing the acquisition of over 140 works of art for the museum’s permanent collection since 1996 through the YCC Art Fund.
The evening began with cocktails and an intimate dinner in The Wright.
After dinner, guests celebrated in the museum’s iconic rotunda with a DJ set by Ryan McNamara.
The scene this year was like no other. This is the first time I’ve ever seen Go-Go dancers at the Guggenheim…it was amazing! It was a perfect mix of the trendy downtown kids, young corporate professionals, preps, socialites and club kids. Every year, the Young Collectors Party gets better.
If the Go-Go dancers were not enough, there was an awesome dance set by Kim Brandt, FlucT, Sam Roeck, and Quenton Stuckey.
Funds raised from the evening benefit the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Young Collectors Council Art Fund, which supports emerging and established contemporary artists and directly impacts the museum’s permanent collection.
Support for the Young Collectors Party was provided by Grey Goose.
