On Wednesday October 19, 2011 I had the great pleasure of being invited to the Patron XO Cafe Secret Event for CMJ. The event was for Patron’s coffee type drink called XO Cafe. First off let me say that Patron and The Superfly Group went all out for this event! For starters, you were sent an invite, then you had to RSVP. After they checked their original list on invites they responded accordingly with directions to a location to pick up your wrist bands. This location happened to be at a Coffee Truck two blocks from the event. Once you got to the truck you had to show your invitation and they cross referenced the list to make sure you were on it. DOPE right!
Upon entering the ballroom lobby guests were greeted by a bar to the left with only Patron XO Cafe. The unique thing about it was that there were different mixes that were made, however they were in this bar wall. Ok, it’s hard to explain but it was a wall that housed the drinks and a spout to were you can pour the alcohol into a cup. As you walk further into the venue you reach a door, THIS is where the ballroom was. The whole room was decorated like a scene from Boardwalk Empire. There were ornate chandeliers, lamps made from Patron bottles, circus type acts, Patron icecream bars…YES Patron Icecream Bars, food, band, burlesque show, open bar (of course) and a photoshoot area. Needless to say, I was impressed!
About 30 minutes into the event, my friend, Daniel Haim of Bloginity, joined me. At this point we decided to do the photoshoot. As you can tell from the photos above, we had FUN! I’d like to call it “Patron Debauchery”. All in all I say this was an EXCELLENT event! Thanks Patron, you my…..(In Fabolous voice).
