On Friday, January 25, 2013 New York Junior League hosted their Second Annual Winter Party, titled Alpine Escape. The party was held at the Astor House located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York City.
There were 4 floors of the Astor House that was used for Apres-ski themed house party. Each floor had a different look which created a ski lodge feel. The guests of the evening, all dressed in apres-ski attire, including complimentary sunglasses by Knockaround, sipped on complimentary beer provides by Budlight & Magners and BBQ sandwiches by Brother Jimmy’s BBQ.
The house party reminded me of those good ole undergrad themed parties: good people and flowing booze. It’s always a good thing when we as professionals can strip off the suits in exchange for jeans and boots. As always, the party was still classy, as NYJL always keeps it that way. The DJ rocked the house with a mix of pop and old school r&b that had everyone dancing. Immediately following the event there was an exclusive after-party at Pine Tree Lodge, just if you couldn’t get enough of all the action.
The New York Junior League (NYJL) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
