Join New York artist Andres Prada at his art studio for a private viewing and cocktail reception celebrating his latest work. This large mixed media installation on double-sided canvas incorporates elements of nature and measures 55’ X 5’. An underlying theme that Prada explores in this and many of his earlier pieces is the dichotomy, yet poetic harmony of the universe and how opposing energies are the life force that course through all that is living and breathing. The exhibition will also feature a selection of earlier works by the artist and will be available for sale. Percentage of proceeds will benefit Hurricane Sandy victims in New York.

Andres Prada is a New York City artist originally from Bogotá Colombia. Born and raised in a family of artist and musicians, he works with digital media and oil-based paints on canvas, salvaged materials and plywood, favoring large installations. Prada’s art is free flowing and a collage of disparate elements interweaving nature, poetry and music – at once exuberant, moody, soulful and transformational. The search for human enlightenment and the constant struggle to find alignment between man and nature is what informs and is reflected in all of his work.
