On Friday September 28th, we had the luxury of attending Eric Haze and G-Shock exclusive event at Solo in the Financial District of New York. The event celebrated their long-standing relationship—symbolized by the headline 30/25/15X4, which stands for G-Shock’s 30th Anniversary, Haze’s 25th Anniversary, their alliance spanning 15 years, and the release of their 4th collaborative timepiece. The anniversary party brought out some notable guests to support and view the Haze exhibition, including Rosie, Perez, Alexey Galetskiy, Carl Banks, Corey Homicide, Dee and Ricky and Hoodchef. As guests sipped Heineken they listened to the sounds of DJ Just Blaze, Stretch Armstrong and Scratch.
To commemorate this milestone, Eric Haze showcased a 25-year retrospective of his brands archives. This was the first time Haze had displayed his products in this way, including 35 framed silkscreen pieces, 10 framed embroideries, customized baseball caps, garments, bags, fabrics, footwear, jewelry, furniture, packaging, toys and more. Also on display was the new G-Shock timepieces and a video featuring never-seen-before footage of Haze exploring his personal archive of content.
G-Shock and world-renowned graphic artist Eric Haze, have partnered on countless projects including four highly coveted watches, the creation of the iconic G-Shock 25th Anniversary logo and now the G-Shock 30th Anniversary logo, a testament to the close partnership between Haze and G-Shock.
