The world’s craziest party elrow is coming all the way from Barcelona to bring an immersive unforgettable experience like none other to New York for a weekend-long twisted take on the infamous “street party in a jungle” carnaval celebration. This is the first time the international party purveyor presents New Yorkers with their special two day Sambowdromo Do Brasil themed fiesta. The celebrations starts on Saturday night, April 9 for nine and a half hours and then reopens for part two Sunday daytime, April 10 for ten more hours. Today, elrow is excited to announce their massive lineup for Sunday’s daytime edition, featuring Mikey Lion B2B Lee Reynolds, Will Clarke, Wheats, Tini Gessler, Ky William B2B Kamino, plus two surprise artists. Previously, elrow announced Saturday’s stacked lineup that boasts Jackmaster B2B Skream, Lee Foss, Latmun B2B Ben Sterling, + many more and tickets are flying fast.
This is the first time elrow will be including a daytime event and this stellar sunday lineup is sure to have the Great Hall buzzing with pure carnival and tech house vibes all day long. Topping the bill are two of Desert Heart’s finest, the wildly funny party animals Mikey Lion and Lee Reynolds, known among house heads for delivering epic B2B sets. elrow fans will be excited to see resident Tini Gessler returning again on Sunday to spin, sure to bring her mesmerizing energy to the daytime carnival. Dirtybird alum and UK sensation Will Clarke will grace the decks with both his fantastical beard and unbridled tech house/techno energy. Also joining is none other than breakout artist Wheats, known for his hypnotic grooves that has earned the backing of mighty labels such as Toolroom and HOTTRAX, to name a few. Rounding out the lineup is a B2B with newcomers Ky William and Kamino, infusing a more minimal, underground element to the carnival festivities.
This weekend-long carnival will be a first time event and a special homecoming for elrow. Since elrow’s philosophy has helped establish them as a global force for circus-inspired events, their parties appeal to a much broader audience than your regular club goers. That coupled with a pent-up demand for unique things to do for entertainment, elrow is bringing the largest and wildest Latino experimental event to Avant Gardner for both night and day.
“We are so hyped about our Brazilian street party theme coming to New York! This is a very special weekend for us, as, in addition to the usual Saturday show, we debut a 10-hour Daytime Sunday edition, which is elrow’s original format, for the very first time in the United States,” states Michael Julian, Head of elrow, North America.
Sambowdromo Do Brasil has always been one of elrow’s most popular themes, with its hedonistic Carnaval energy, outrageous outfits, and outlandish interactive performances, it’s easy to see why elrow’s carnaval is such a hit. Expect the music to be an exhilarating blend of today’s finest tech-house with the ancient rhythms of samba, batacuda, bossa nova, tropicalia, and other traditional Brazilian sounds mixed in for a truly one-of-a-kind Afro-tech-house sonic experience. Prepare to encounter locals including drummers, dancers, otherworldly creatures, stilt walkers, and native townspeople bearing welcoming gifts.
Attendees are encouraged to remember this isn’t an office party and dress to the nines. As elrow suggests, “Just grab a few feathers, drag out your grandma’s old boa, and start working those hips, Samba style.” After all, elrow promises, “Lost in the foliage anything can happen and you’re right in the middle. So get dancing!”
Over the years, elrow has transformed itself into the definitive experiential party brand through its combination of immersive performances and booming bass-lines from some of the trendiest DJs around the globe. Boasting shows on every continent and hosting more than 250 events in various international cities, elrow has become one of the biggest and most anticipated purveyors of love, peace, and happiness on the planet. Sambowdromo Do Brasil is a prime example of elrow at its peak, serving music, art, and dance to transform the very notion of parties into life-changing celebrations that bring people from all over the world and all walks of life together for a magical experience.
If Salvador Dalí and Cirque Du Soleil had a love child, its name would be elrow.
